How far along? 23 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +8.6 Hoping to keep my weight gain to a MAX of +1 a week from now until 40 weeks (or whenever I pop!). My doctor told me the most weight gain happens in the 3rd trimester, so I am more than prepared to start blowing up like the Good Year blimp.
Symptoms? Nails of steel! Extreme appetite! A few round ligament pains here and there.
Sleep: I had an Armageddon style dream last night…..aliens, meteors, and something happening that I remember being pretty similar to the football stadium scene in The Dark Knight Rises.
Best moment this week: A rainy Saturday night in with Drew. I love slow-paced, relaxing weekends.
Miss Anything? My mobility. Getting up off the couch, out of bed, picking something up off the floor, shaving my legs, painting my toenails……. these simple things we never really think about have become a little harder to do and will only get harder from here! Thank goodness for flip flops!
Movement: Still lots of movement, especially when I am sitting or lying down.
Food cravings: Got my mexican food fix at On the Border for Cinco de Mayo! Another new craving has been any kind of cold slushy or fruit bar/popsicle.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Sometimes I feel a little nauseous at night. But part of me thinks that has something to do with just being plain tired.
Gender prediction: Bows!
Labor Signs: Nope!
Belly Button in or out? Still in.
Wedding rings on or off? On!
Mood: happy!
Weekly Wisdom: This past week our crib arrived to be picked up! After a failed first attempt, in the pouring rain, and our vehicle being to small…..we had to make plans to come back later in the week to pick it up. Last night, with the help of Eddie Scarbrough (thank you thank you again!), we were able to haul it back to the house! We opened the box downstairs and hefted all of the pieces upstairs so we could put it together!…….and by “we” I mean Drew. We were all ready to go when I noticed something on the front piece, or “footboard” of the crib. A nice LONG crack about the width of the entire crib going all the way across the top. I called the store immediately and after jumping through a few hoops, they are sending us a new piece that should arrive in the next 2 weeks. Shipped right to our front door! Boom. So, in short, there will be A LOT of shit that happens (literally and figuratively) in the next few years. Don’t worry about the things you can’t control. It will only take away from your happiness.
Looking forward to: Is it bad that one of the things I ALWAYS look forward to every week is Game of Thrones on Sunday nights? So good. And of course, the Treuman Show this weekend down in Douglasville! Ready to finally see these two lovebirds hitched! My good friend Becky is FINALLY getting back in town this Sunday from England, where she has been the past 5 months. And last but not least, celebrating my first Mother’s Day this weekend! A lot of great things happening this weekend!
