26 Weeks
I had my 26 week check-up this morning as well as my gestational diabetes testing. Baby is measuring right on schedule and the doctor predicts little girl will be about 7.5 lbs. when all is said and done! I’ll take it! If all goes well, I should have my results in the next day or so……so keep your fingers crossed!

How far along? 26 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +12.6
Symptoms? Round ligament pains, nails are strong, and still quite an appetite! On occasion, my feet swell at night if I have been a little more active than normal, but nothing major.
Sleep: Sleep is great for the most part. I have 2-3 different dreams a night, each one starting after my multiple bathroom trips!
Best moment this week: Had a blast this past weekend up in the Northern GA Wineries, as you can see in this post here. Can’t go wrong with a 3 day weekend! Dad came in town early on Sunday night to stay for a few days until the Blade Show on Friday, so it was great to spend some time with him, since I don’t get to see him very often. A great weekend with friends, family, and even a trip to IKEA!
Miss Anything? My mobility. Walking upstairs feels like running a marathon. Getting up from a reclined or seated position is the worst! Most of the time it is your typical “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up” scenario.
Movement: Lots of moving! I am waiting to see little feet and hand imprints.
Food cravings: Cold sweets. You know the feeling of craving something really bad for you, and then after you finally get it, you have total regret? I gave in and got a DQ Blizzard the other day at work. SO good….and then I felt like a total fatty.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope! And I’m loving this!
Gender prediction: Bows!
Labor Signs: Nope! Let’s hope those don’t come for awhile.
Belly Button in or out? Still in but getting flatter.
Wedding rings on or off? On!
Mood: Anxious!
Weekly Wisdom: Make sure you spend a little time each day talking to your significant other about all the changes and things going on with baby and yourself. Although I am the one literally attached to the baby for the whole nine months, it is great to know Andrew is there and knows everything I’m going through and can still feel like a part of the process. He has been incredibly great with making me comfortable, getting me anything and everything I need, and just overall being there every step of the way. He even brought me home some of my FAVORITE Salted Caramel Truffle Ice Cream from the store last night without me even asking! He’s pretty great, I have to say!
Looking forward to: Madam and Aunt Sharon coming in on Friday for a short visit on their way to Myrtle Beach (take me with you!). Saturday, Drew and I are headed to the Pitts Wedding Palooza! Then Sunday, we are showering Becky with baby goodies!
