24 Weeks

I really can’t express enough how lucky Andrew and I are to have such loving, giving, and just plain kick ass friends! Last night, Drew and I arrived at Pappasito’s Cantina to meet Heath and Dan, for what we THOUGHT was a belated birthday dinner for Dan. When we got there, it was definitely more than just the 4 of us! Heath arranged to have a bunch of our friends meet us there to have the “gender reveal” party that just never really worked out earlier this spring. Pink balloons, It’s a Girl! Cake, gifts, friends, LOTS of food and drinks! But really, it was great to get together and celebrate all of the new beginnings for a lot of us that will be happening in the next few months! Another baby on the way in about a month for our good friends Becky and Joe, new job opportunities, and two weddings happening in the next year! So much to look forward to and so much to be thankful for!

How far along? 24 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +10.8 Well, we are in the double digits. I’m hoping the sudden weight gain has something to do with little girl measuring a week ahead! Or it could be the massive Harry Potter style mexican feast I had last night at Pappasito’s!
Symptoms? My feet have been swelling just a tad at night. Still a pretty massive appetite. Trying not to eat anything and everything in my path. Rawr!
Sleep: Tossing and turning. With my belly getting larger, having only two options to sleep has been a little difficult. Right side or left side?
Best moment this week: I’ve had two great moments this week! Dan and Kathryn’s wedding was such a blast! Loved being there to see them tie the knot! And I have to add our little surprise party last night. It was so good to see everyone, some we haven’t seen in such a long time, and being able to celebrate the many new beginnings for all of us!
Miss Anything? Margaritas…..Beer…..or Beergaritas!
Movement: Moving a lot!
Food cravings: Nothing new. Just wanting to eat everything I can get my hands on!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not lately.
Gender prediction: Bows!
Labor Signs: Nope!
Belly Button in or out? Still in.
Wedding rings on or off? On! Although I do predict not for much longer. Better safe than sorry!
Mood: Thankful.
Weekly Wisdom: Never wish time away! Enjoy living in the moment because time goes by so fast as it is. So many things great things to look forward to as well as many changes!….good changes! Enjoy the familiar and the “now” because it won’t be this way for much longer.
Looking forward to: The weekend. Hoping to do some painting, going to see Star Trek, shopping, and some more relaxing!
