20 Weeks
20 Week Ultrasound

Well, we went ahead and decided to spill the beans! If you look closely and tilt your head to the left, you can see the face! I thought this was the coolest one where you can actually see the nose, eyes, and even one of her little arms! Little girl is VERY active and didn’t want the doctor to get a good look at her face. She kept rubbing her face with both arms, so this is the best picture we could get. Later this week or next, I will go back in for a follow up ultrasound to try and get some clearer pictures for our records.

How far along? 20 Weeks down, 20 Weeks to go!
Total weight gain/loss: +6
Maternity clothes? This will be the last post for maternity clothing! Clearly, I’m in them for the next 4 1/2 months! I’ve gotten a couple pair of maternity pants and leggings! And really, because I am short waisted to begin with, I really only need to buy normal tops that are a little longer/larger. There will be a few more shopping trips in the next few months once my belly starts to grow even bigger.
*NEW* Symptoms: I’ve been having crazy sciatic nerve pain in my right leg lately. It’s annoying more than anything and only is bothersome when I walk. An 8 hour trip to and from Dayton in a car probably didn’t help much.
Sleep: I have decided that I think I just don’t sleep well in our bed at home. On top of it being a queen, it is 7 years old and a little sunken down. I think it’s time for an upgrade sometime soon.
Best moment this week: Seeing our baby girl during our ultrasound this past Monday and finding out the gender! She was measured and all checked out to be right on schedule! Weighing a whopping 11 oz.! We had not had an ultrasound since 8 weeks, when she was no bigger than a raspberry. So, seeing something that actually resembled a baby and not a piece of fruit was a relief!
Miss Anything? Doing anything physical without being incredibly winded afterward. Walking up stairs feels like running a mile.
Movement: Yes! Baby was very active during WGI this week and is definitely not a fan of some of the soundtracks she heard.
Food cravings: Still mexican food….but when do I NOT crave that?! Just throw some chips and salsa in front of me and I’m good to go!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Sometimes when I brush my teeth in the mornings.
Have you started to show yet: Yes indeed.
Gender prediction: We found out the gender this Monday! We knew we had a feeling and it turned out to be right!
Labor Signs: Nope!
Belly Button in or out? In and still pretty deep!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Just plain Happy!
Weekly Wisdom: “With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts” – Eleanor Roosevelt
Looking forward to: A weekend at home with Andrew! Spring cleaning, BBQ, being outside, nursery planning and BABY SHOPPING!
